Meet Xavier*
He’s been in foster care for 840 days – half of his little life. For Xavier*, any memories of home with his biological parents are brief and sad. He came into care due to physical abuse, resulting in his biological parents rights being terminated. Xavier lived with a foster family for 19 months and was going to be adopted by another family, but that fell through. Thankfully, he’s been able to stay with foster parents he knows and who love him, until another adoptive family comes along.
Despite the turmoil and change in his short life, Xavier has thrived – thanks to the unconditional love and support of his foster parents. His FaithBridge foster family consultant and his foster family describe him as a fun little guy who is excelling in school and enjoys playing soccer and baseball. He loves Star Wars, Legos, Transformers, and music.
He also loves to show off his Michael Jackson moves.
“At one of our home visits, Xavier spun around, did the moonwalk and showed us his best dance moves. We all danced with him and sang the songs,” said his consultant. “He has been a trooper through everything and come a long way.”
