Meet Ethan*
The Christmas he was 9, Ethan’s* mom abandoned him. She took him to an acquaintance’s house, under who knows what pretense, and then disappeared. While most kids were excited about presents, Santa and other Christmas fun, Ethan was just a scared, lonely little boy, wondering where his mom was.
He was placed into foster care with another agency; eventually entering a FaithBridge home. His mom resurfaced, after being incarcerated, and began visiting. Once she realized he was in a good home, though, she vanished again.
Despite the abandonment and whatever else Ethan may have gone through, he’s described as a great kid with good grades and overall good behavior.
To his FaithBridge foster family consultant Debbie Parsons, he’s one of the “special ones”.
“Ethan’s been a joy and delight since he’s been with FaithBridge. He has a love for fishing and the Green Bay Packers. I’ve taught him to tie a more effective knot to secure his lures – the same knot my dad taught me,” Parsons said.
His current foster family is hoping to adopt him, as he has a termination of parental rights hearing scheduled.
“We all look forward to a bright future for Ethan with his adoptive family and expect that God has great things in store for this young man!” Parsons said.
We have many other foster children like Ethan here in Georgia. They need stable, loving foster homes, whether they’re on track to be reunified with family or will be adopted. Please help us help them! Find out how you can get involved at faithbridgefostercare.org/get-involved.
