Your Ticket to “90 Minutes in Heaven” Can Support FaithBridge
On Tuesday, September 1, FaithBridge foster families had the opportunity to walk the red carpet at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta and attend the world premiere of “90 Minutes in Heaven.” Jackson Healthcare’s CEO, Rick Jackson, served as the producer of the film that stars Hayden Christensen and Kate Bosworth and is based on the true story and bestselling book about a Baptist pastor named Don Piper. He was pronounced dead at the scene of a devastating car accident and, an hour and a half later, woke up able to describe heaven in detail.
Rick Jackson’s film company, Giving Films, shot the film in Atlanta and hosted the star-studded red carpet premiere. The evening included appearances by Governor Nathan Deal, long-time local newscaster Monica Pearson and Don Piper himself.
Opening nationwide this Friday, September 11, “90 Minutes in Heaven” will generate more than just ticket sales. Producers are donating all the proceeds to local charities, including FaithBridge Foster Care. Ticket goers will have the opportunity to select which charity their ticket will support by visiting www.givingfilms.com after seeing the movie.
“It was pretty exciting to think that such a big idea has so quickly come to fruition,” FaithBridge CEO and co-founder Bill Hancock said.
Please support the film and visit www.givingfilms.com to select FaithBridge Foster Care as the nonprofit to receive the proceeds from your movie ticket purchase. It’s an easy way to help care for vulnerable children and families in your community.
