In order to begin Foundations Training you must have completed Encounter, FaithBridge' s Orientation. Foundations: The training includes six sessions that are divided into different types of training environments: hybrid training held virtually (Friday and Sunday), an in-person class (Saturday), on-demand courses, and one-on-one personalized trainings held in the foster or adoptive home. Once you complete the first four sessions of the training, a FaithBridge staff member will schedule the remaining individualized training sessions in your home, followed by your final session being on-demand courses prior to the final home visit. FaithBridge Foundations Training is designed to prepare foster, respite, and adoptive parent applicants for the physical, emotional, and spiritual demands of caring for and adopting foster children. It covers important topics while helping families examine their hearts to determine if they are called to foster or adopt from foster care.
