In order to begin Foundations Training you must have completed Encounter, FaithBridge' s Orientation. Foundations: All foster, respite, and adoptive parents are required to complete Foundations Training in order to obtain their license through FaithBridge. The training includes six sessions that are divided into different types of training environments: hybrid training held virtually, an in-person class, and one-on-one personalized training held in the foster or adoptive home. Once you complete the first three sessions of the training, a FaithBridge staff member will schedule the remaining individualized training sessions in your home. FaithBridge Foundations Training is designed to prepare foster, respite, and adoptive parent applicants for the physical, emotional, and spiritual demands of caring for and adopting foster children. It covers important topics while helping families examine their hearts to determine if they are called to foster or adopt from foster care.
