Founders Scholarship Online Form

 

The 2025 Founders Scholarship Application Process has begun! We are now taking applications. 

Each scholarship shall be for $2,000 and may be awarded annually to a deserving candidate. Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for an award:

  • Be a graduating senior, or have graduated, from a Georgia high school, with a G.P.A of 3.0 or higher; and with plans to attend, or are attending, an accredited institution of higher education which offers a certificate, associates degree, bachelor’s degree, or post-graduate degree
  • Is currently in foster care with a FaithBridge foster family, or is an adoptee of a FaithBridge foster family,
  • Must submit an application (provided by FaithBridge), reference letters, and an essay (minimum of 250 words) which describes their relationship with Christ, what “living a Christian life” means to them, how their life demonstrates those values; and their dreams and plans for their future, and
  • Submit to an interview by the Scholarship Awards Committee.

Applications must be submitted by June 15 following your senior year, or each subsequent year. Be prepared to submit to an interview by the Awards Committee soon after submitting your Application.

All Applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a FaithBridge Founders Fund Scholarship Awards Committee. All information will be kept confidential.

Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the designated institution of higher learning.

Please note – you will be required to provide a 250-word (minimum) essay as well as two letters of recommendation, a current transcript showing your GPA, and an acceptance letter to the institution of higher learning you plan to attend. These may be uploaded in the form as PDF or Word files. Because this form does not have a “save” feature, we recommend you have those ready prior to filling out the form.

  • In at least 250 words, please describe in detail what challenges you have overcome during your time in foster care, your dedication to living a Christian life, and your decision to obtain additional education. Also, describe: your relationship with Christ, what living a Christian life means to you, your dreams and plans for your future, and how you would anticipate “paying forward” with your time and talents to help some child or youth in a situation similar to your own.
