When children enter into foster care they lose so much – their families, their homes, and their hope. This can set them on a course that leads to uncertainty for their future. But when children are in FaithBridge foster homes, they begin to heal with the help of stable, loving families.

When young people without these connections age out of foster care and venture into adulthood, the statistics are staggering.

  • Less than 3% will obtain a bachelor’s degree
  • Only one half of these young people will be employed at age 24
  • 20% will be homeless the day they turn 18

Beginning this year, through FaithBridge’s work with aging-out foster youth across the state and your support, more young people who have experienced foster care will have an even greater chance at hope — and a future!

This November we invite you to help more children and young people on their journeys through foster care and beyond.

More about FaithBridge

FaithBridge has brought Christ-centered care to children and families since 2007. As one of the largest private child placing agencies in Georgia, FaithBridge recruits, trains, and licenses both foster and adoptive families. Often at a child’s greatest moment of need, FaithBridge steps in to provide loving and supportive homes for foster and adoptive children through physical, emotional, and spiritual care. Our model of care centers around the local church and its unique ability to provide resources and hope-filled support to foster families, creating a community equipped to care for vulnerable children.

Our church partners, along with foster and adoptive families, gain therapeutic skills through in-person training and our innovative online learning platform, FaithBridgeU. FaithBridge’s initiative, the Child Life History program, was launched in response to the urgent need to expedite adoptions for children in the foster care system. These Child Life Histories provide state-required medical and historical documentation for children awaiting a permanent home. Most recently, Youth Opportunities, has been launched in the continuum of care for children aging out of foster care to help them to fully transition to adulthood and maintain their independence.
