02/12/09 - Prayer request around capacity

In our last e-blast, we talked about what foster families can do while they wait. This week, we need your prayers. As we work to build foster family capacity, we ask you join us in praying through a barrier.

We ask that you pray with us to expand the capacity within our Communities of Care - adding new families through upcoming orientations. Because our present capacity is not fully matching the placement requests and opportunities coming our way, we often find ourselves in the position of refusing referrals.

We also ask you to join us in prayer that existing foster families might broaden their placement criteria - possibly considering the placement of more than one child or accepting a broader age range of children.

Together with your prayers and help, Cornerstone, our church partners and families like yours can help to eliminate the foster family crisis in our community. Please join us as we seek Christ's heart on behalf of "the least, the last and the lost."
