ALPHARETTA -
FaithBridge Foster Care has hired David Shaw as chief church
relations officer. Shaw is responsible for cultivating and
developing relationships with church partners and helping to
establish independent, church-based foster care ministries in
Georgia and eventually, across the nation.
Shaw comes to
FaithBridge from Coker Group where he served as senior vice
president of business development and chief operating officer. He
has more than 25-years' experience in the areas of strategic
planning, conflict resolution, staff development, marketing and
executive search.
"David Shaw's experience will help us
organize, equip and release new church ministry partners,
furthering our mission of providing caring Christian families for
our communities' neediest children," said Bill Hancock, president
and CEO of FaithBridge Foster Care. "We are blessed to have him
join our leadership team."
Shaw and his family live in Alpharetta
and attend North Point Community Church.
A Christian, tax-exempt corporation
intent on changing U.S. foster care, FaithBridge Foster Care works
with the local church to solve and take ownership of its
community's foster care crisis. FaithBridge partners with local
churches to create independent foster care ministries around a
small group model, called the Community of Care, which provides
foster families with new support resources.
