About Mt. Bethel's foster care ministry

In October of 2006, Mt. Bethel became the first church to partner with FaithBridge Foster Care. Mt. Bethel, providing the organization's first financial grant. Children began being placed in homes in June of 2007.

Impact

Wayne Stolz talks about the impact of the foster care ministry at Mt. Bethel:

The ministry has provided an opportunity for families, who otherwise were not involved in the church, to become involved in the life of the church in a very meaningful way. Several families became members of Mt. Bethel so they could join the foster family ministry. Some families who had not been involved in the church life, have become leaders of the ministry. New support groups and new relationships have been formed, which serve to strengthen the spiritual gifts the church provides to its members. The sense of "mission" that is prevalent within the ministry provides our members with a new opportunity for spiritual growth in their faith journey.
